Dutch Housing Company and development company Het Nieuwe Westland (ONW) have signed an agreement for the realisation of 39 homes in the Rijnvaart subplan. The location between the greenery of the ecological zone and the water of the Nieuwe Vaart canal creates a unique location. A small-scale villa district with a mix of 2/1 detached houses and detached houses on spacious plots. Mulleners + Mulleners architects designed the houses with an appealing characteristic roof architecture that fits nicely between the greenery and the water in the area.
Rijnvaart is part of the Waelpark area development and is the third sub-plan to go into development after Dijckerwaal and Vlindertuin. The plan provides space for some 300 homes with a green and water-rich zone through the residential area. This green, ecological zone is rich in water and nature and will soon be the linking factor between the various neighbourhoods, with a great diversity of architecture and housing on offer.
Sustainable residential area
An ecological zone will soon traverse the Rijnvaart area, creating a green environment that accommodates various animal and plant species. In addition, Rijnvaart is the first subarea to be built without natural gas.
Natural gas-free
The houses in the Aan de Nieuwe Vaart project are state-of-the-art and naturally natural gas-free. Buying a villa in this project means anticipating developments in the housing market. This is because the homes will be 'all electric', i.e. without a gas connection, and generate their own energy through solar panels.
