Dutch Housing Company and development company Het Nieuwe Westland (ONW) have signed the agreement for the development and realisation of 33 luxury residential villas within the Waelplas sub-plan in s'-Gravenzande. A sequel to the successful realisation of the nearby villa district Aan de Nieuwe Vaart in Rijnvaart.
Long Island New Hampton Style
The 33 luxury villas in the unique Long Island residential plan are located near the Plas van Alle Winden and will all have their own jetty for a sloop. Long Island is directly connected to the Westland waterway via the Poelwatering.
Mulleners + Mulleners architects signed on to design the villas. With Long Island New Hampton Style, architect Ton Mulleners says he has come up with a plan that you will not easily find elsewhere in the Westland. Nor anywhere else in the Randstad, for that matter. There are plenty of nice things happening here, but this residential development is of a different order. You won't easily find such beautiful villas on such large plots elsewhere.'
Inspired by the rich architecture of the New Hamptons on America's east side, the villas will have expressive windows, plenty of light and characteristic elements in the form of bay windows and verandas. Much attention is paid to the positioning of the houses. Mulleners succeeded in making each position look like an entrance to the neighbourhood. In addition, the houses all get at least one sun-facing side and spacious gardens around them. Long Island New Hampton Style thus focuses on the gourmet, on lovers of the rich good life.
Waelplas: luxury waterfront living
Waelplas is one of the most beautiful subpanels in area development Waelpark. There will be four new dream locations for living, including Long Island on a newly formed island. The area is characterised by its island structure and it is surrounded by lots of water and greenery, including the nearby ecological zone. This zone is part of the Poelzone, a nature reserve that connects the dunes to the wooded area south of Naaldwijk.
Sustainable and natural gas-free
The residential villas on Long Island are state-of-the-art and, of course, natural gas-free. Buying a villa in this residential plan means being well prepared for the future. This is because the houses will be 'all electric', i.e. without a gas connection, and generate their own energy through solar panels and a heat pump.

More information can be found at www.wonenoplongisland.nl. The impressions of the island already look appealing but at the moment the design of the villas and the permit application are still hard at work. Construction will start in 2022.
